Industrial printing calls for consistent production quality, high output speed, as well as low operational and maintenance efforts. Matica’s S5200G combines long-lasting components and sophisticated software to meet those needs. It relies on thermal retransfer technology in monochrome mode to produce up to impressive 2,400 (single side, 10 mm) or 850 (dual-sided, 10 mm) cards per hour.
Similarly, a direct-to-card dye sublimation method allows to create near edge-to-edge vibrant full-color images at the speed of up to 145 cph. Simply switch between ribbons for a color or monochrome mode. At a target output of 2 million cards per year, the S5200G industrial card printer is therefore ideal for the issuance of mid-volume batches for membership, employee ID, financial and loyalty cards.

Flexible configurations and multiple encoding options available

High volume printing jobs also require input and output hoppers that can handle the production speed without the need for constant supervision. The base machine comes equipped with a 600-card input and a 600-card output hopper, as well as a reject tray, but these can be expanded on demand. A flip-over for dual sided printing is also default, in addition to Matica’s AdvanceClean® card cleaning system. The cleaning station applies a special tape and a roller to keep the dust off the cards and maximize the lifetime of the print head.
Choose between magnetic stripe or single/multiple smart card chip encoding and upgrade basic identification cards to help track time and attendance, make payments, or manage access. This industrial card printer was made to run up to 8 hours per day. It can be used as stand-alone station or combined into larger systems using complimentary units for even higher power and output.

In addition to 600-card feeder and stacker stations, special high-capacity ribbons (up to 11,200 prints per roll for the black monochrome ribbon) further reduce the necessity of monitoring or intervention during high volume issuance.
